I think it is important to plan your meals for the week. This is something I have learned from my mom. Planning your menu helps you know what to buy at the grocery store as well as helps you to know what you will eat each day.  I do not assign a meal to each day; I simply make a list of meals I want to make for the week and pick what I will make each day.
